Ingredients : Serves 4

  • 220g (1/2pack) glutinous rice flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 180-210ml cold water
    -----<for the sauce>-----
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp potao starch
  • 100ml cold water

  • Mix together the glutinous rice flour and sugar.
  • Add the cold water little by little and knead it until smooth texture.
  • In a pan place water and bring to a simmer, keep it bubbling.
  • Meanwhile, take the dough and form a ball 3cm in diameter. Then press the centre a little to make a dimple.
  • Boil the balls for about 2-3 minute or until they come to the surface, then put them to cold water.

  • In a small bowl mix together the all ingredients for the sauce and microwave for 1 minute.
  • Mix well with a small whisk and put it back to the microwave for another 40 seconds.
  • Drain the dumplings and cover the sauce over them. Serve immediately.
