  • 200g tin tuna in oil drained and flaked
  • 1 onion, halved and sliced into 1cm
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 220-250g fusilli
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • freshly ground black peppercorns

  • In a large frying pan heat the olive oil and garlic over a low heat. Fry until lightly coloured for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Drop the pasta into a large (pasta) pan of plenty boiling, salted water. Cook according to packet instructions until al dente ;about 10-12 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, turn up the frying pan to a medium heat and add the onion. Fry until golden brown for 8-9 minutes and add the tuna.
  • Drain the pasta in a colander and return it to the frying pan. Toss well and season with the salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
