Ingredients : Serves 2

  • 60g (4 slices) any kind of ham*
  • 1 small onion, halved and sliced 1cm
  • 1/2 medium carrot, peeled and sliced 4cm long
  • 1/2 pepper, seeded and cut 8mm
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp worcester sauce
  • salt & freshly ground blackpeppercorns
  • 1 tbsp vegetable, corn or sunflower oil for saute
  • 230g long pasta (spaghetti)
*Alternatively, bacon or sausage can be used.

  • Drop the pasta into a large (pasta) pan of plenty boiling, salted water. Cook according to packet instructions until al dente - about 10-12 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a midium heat, saute the onion for about 3 minutes.
  • Add the carrot, pepper and ham. Cook until the vegetables are soften and season with the salt and pepper. Set a side until the pasta is boiled.
  • Drain the pasta in a colander, return to the frying pan and stir in the vegetables.
  • Add the tomato ketchup and worcester sauce. Stir them for a few minutes.
  • Serve immediatly.
