FOOD---Noodles

Ingredients : Serves 2

  • 120g minced pork*
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 small carrot, sliced
  • A handful of bean sprouts
  • 10 trimmed mange tout peas, cut diagonally and finely
  • 3 spring onions, cut diagonally and finely
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1 green chilli, deseeded and chopped
  • 2 medium egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
    -----<Seasonings>-----
  • 1 tsp kikkoman soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp chinese soup stock powder
  • salt and freshly ground black peppercorns
*Alternatively, use chicken or prowns.

  • Boil the noodles for about 4 minutes, drain well and coat with 1 tbsp of sasame oil.

  • Heat the sesame oil a large frying pan or wok over a medium heat and add the garlic.
  • Stir in the pork, then add the onion, carrot, bean sprout, peas and spring onions until softened.
  • Add the noodlles and continue to stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until hot.
  • Pour over the all seasonings and adjust with salt and freshly ground black peppercorns.
  • Sprinkle with the green chilli and served immediatly.
